This autumn, the weekly intensive workshops are fully booked due to pan epidemic lockdowns last year. We had to re-organize many classes.
Experiences are what make us happy. — what’s better than quality time spent together doing something engaging?
Like piano playing, the pottery wheel takes a long time and patience to master. The clay tells you when you’re losing focus, and it teaches you to stay grounded and maintain concentration.
We use local clay; this wild, raw material takes the pottery experience to a higher level.
Learning a skill and working with clay brings mindfulness and comfort to your life,” at Udumbara pottery, we are teeming with international professionals who are looking to de-stress, unplug, and socialize. Welcome.

At UDUMBARA (est. 1994) is Earth-friendly pottery; we use wild, red clay from the small village of Kultela in Somero, Southwestern Finland. The material gives the products a wonderfully rich earthy character. By choosing this local raw material, Eva wants to emphasize the unique and ecological value of this little-used local clay. Wild clay planters are ideally suited for plants’ physiological needs. Part of their beauty is their tendency to beautify with age as they weather and absorb mineral salts from the soil.
Also, as the sun gives off far more energy than we need to power everything on earth, our studio & kiln are powered by solar energy.
Important: Please register for your classes in good time, as class size is limited (just 7) and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. And our apologies, but because of the limited capacity, we need to maintain full attendance in all classes, and that’s why we have the exact and strict cancellation policy.
