In today’s world, the importance of sustainability cannot be overstated\u2014especially in creative fields like pottery. At UDUMBARA Helsinki, I focus on ethical pottery practices, making conscious choices to reduce the ecological impact of our craft. My mission is to inspire fellow potters and hobbyists to embrace sustainable pottery by using local, low-fired clays like Kultela wild clay, an incredible resource with endless possibilities for creating beautiful, earth-friendly ceramics.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

By choosing local earthenware clays<\/a><\/strong>, we can significantly lower the environmental footprint of pottery production. Local clays connect us with the land and reduce the carbon emissions associated with transporting materials from distant places.
