Authentic, Ethical, and Ecological Finnish Contemporary Craftsmanship and Design.

UDUMBARA Studio opens its doors to all who wish to experience what genuine Finnish craftsmanship and professional ceramics look and feel like.
For over thirty years, ceramist and designer Eva Spoof has been working with clay in Kallio, Helsinki — and for the past two decades exclusively with local wild Kultela clay.
Her work is guided by ethics, ecology, and deep respect for local natural materials.
During the Open Studio day, you can explore handmade flowerpots, lamps, and unique prototype pieces crafted from Kultela clay.
Each piece is made entirely by hand from 100% Finnish raw materials, designed to stand the test of time — both in use and in spirit.
Come by for a chat, enjoy the scent of clay, and experience the quiet rhythm of handcrafted work.
UDUMBARA also offers ceramic workshops, and this is a great opportunity to ask about upcoming courses.
Our studio is located in Kallio, at Kaarlenkatu 15, Helsinki.
If you can’t make it on the Open Studio day, you are warmly welcome to book a private visit for shopping through our website: udumbara.fi.
Please note that studio visits are reserved for those interested in UDUMBARA’s handmade ceramics and products.
